Snack Bag Recipes

The Snack Bag Program provides student athletes with non-perishable food items and recipes to encourage positive nutrition behaviors and culinary creativity within their homes. On Monday of each week, athletes pick up their Snack Bags, which contain ingredients to prepare accompanying recipes. Through this program, we hope to inspire athletes with meal and snack ideas, to help them incorporate nourishing foods that support their health and performance and to help them build confidence in the kitchen.

“What I enjoy the most about the Snack bag is the versatility; whether you choose to try out the suggested recipes or do your own, you’ll end up with a wholesome meal. Also, because of the different themes of the snack bags, you get to try ingredients that you wouldn’t have bought otherwise. My favorite things to get are coconut oil and coconut flakes, and two things that I wouldn’t have used before but now I love to use are fresh parsley and celery.”
